What To Do:

The Ryman

The tour that I took was self guided. Although we didn’t have a tour guide we were able to still learn a lot about the culture of the stage. The educational stops on the tour have a detailed description to go along with each artifact.

Grand Ole Opry

If you are looking to learn more about the history of country music in Nashville then I highly suggest this tour. This was a guided tour that took you backstage and explained the ins and outs of what it is like to perform at the Grand Old Opry. I had visited Nashville many times before, but before this tour I never knew what this theatre meant to the people of Nashville.

Tennessee Whiskey Tour

You can’t go to Nashville without taking part in learning more about Tennessee Whiskey. Being from Kentucky I knew a little bit about the bourbon making process, but learning more about whiskey was interesting. Make sure you do some research on Uncle Nearest before going. He was a black man that had a large hand in why we have Jack Daniels whiskey today.

Belle Meade Wine Tasting

If you are going on a girls trip then I highly suggest this activity. This tour was around $90 and worth every penny. We were able to taste 9 different wine selections and each was paired with food. Our wine guide had a very nice pour with each tasting and she even gave us seconds for those we loved.

Suggestion: Wild Berry French Toast

Suggestion: This is family style, and you are eat with people you didn’t come with. You might even meat someone new. I suggest going for brunch.

Princes Hot Chicken

Suggestion: Make sure that you get Mild heat if this is your first time trying hot chicken. I usually get the two piece dark with fries.

Jeni’s splendid Ice cream

Suggestion: Gooey Butter Cake
